The Franco American Heritage Library has recently completed its first phase of construction. Custom made book shelves have been built and an assortment of books have been added to their shelves. In order to accommodate the Franco-American community, all of the library's books are written in the French Language. Our collection includes fiction, nonfiction, biographies, autobiographies, poetry, playwrights and reference books. The library holds a Children's Literature section including a number of French workbooks and textbooks. In addition, the library holds a special collection of Franco-American Historical books and archived French newspapers.
If you are interested in researching the history of Franco-Americans in Lewiston, we encourage you to drop by and browse through our collection. Due to the fact that The Franco-American Heritage Center's book collection is new, we are still in the process of gathering more resources.
